Chance's Story

Take a Chance on Me! Howdy! My name is Chance and Im a distinguished 6-ish year old English Bulldog gentleman with a heart as squishy as my jowls. My past is a bit of a mysteryI was a stray before the wonderful folks at CEBR scooped me upbut Ive decided the second half of my life will be all about belly rubs, snacks, and adventure.

My Best Qualities

Cuddle King: I live for being close to you. Ill happily share your couch, your floor space, or your road trip playlist. Dont worryIm far too polite to jump on you.Socially Adept: I am right at home hanging out with other dogs! I even share my bed and toys with my housemates, Parker and Oakley (both CEBR alumni). While I get along with Parker and Oakley, I get a bit overwhelmed with young male dogs and would prefer a more laid-back companion like myself.Adventure Buddy: Walks? Yes, please. Road trips? Even better! Just toss me in the car and lets go. (Okay, you might need to bring a cart in case I get tuckered out. Hey, Im honest about my stamina.)Gentleman-in-Training: Im brushing up on tricks and learning fast. My goal? To impress you with my bulldog brilliance. My Quirks

Potty Pupil: When I first got to my foster home, they could tell I wasn't really used to the creature comforts of living in a homeI would go potty inside instead of waiting to be let out. Thanks to some patience and yummy treats as motivation, I've done a great job at learning that my bathroom is outdoors although, sometimes accidents still happen.Rough around the Edges: I told you earlier my past is a bit of a mystery, well I came to CEBR in pretty rough shape with scars on my paws, some bad teeth, a nasty ear infection and cherry eye. Thanks to the kind folks at CEBR, we've been sorting all that out! I've been enjoying all of the love and pampering on this healing journey. I guess you could say I'm having what the kids call a 'glow up' this fall.Just a Little Barky at Times: Perhaps due to not having people pay good attention to me earlier in my life, I will bark to let you know if I'm feeling left out or want some snacks or belly scritches. I generally settle down after a while but it'd be good for my new home to be understanding of my need to be heard sometimes. So, are you ready to roll the dice and take a Chance? I promise, Im the jackpot of bulldog companionsgood-natured, loyal, and happiest when Im by your side.

Love & slobbery kisses,Chance

Please visit our website www.ebullymatch.com to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.

Chicago English Bulldog Rescue's Adoption Policy
ADOPTION TAKES THOUGHT AND PATIENCE. We know you are excited about the thought of getting a bully. But before you make this decision, we ask that you have done the following: Spoken with all members of your household and come to mutual agreement. Discussed the new addition with your home owner's association or landlord if applicable. Experienced the breed yourself. If you do not currently have a bully family member, we ask that you attend one of our CEBR events before applying. Double check our Adoption Area Map to be sure you are in our range. Save up! Bullies are not an inexpensive breed and having a solid savings account that has an emergency fund is essential. Rescue bullies are also not a way to get a "cheap bully." Often times rescue bullies end up costing more in upkeep than a bully purchased from a breeder.
