Chance

We are juggling countless dogs and since they are all in foster care, I don't get to meet every one. I did get the opportunity to meet Chance when we were at an event where his foster mom brought him and saw first hand what a really good boy he is. This is a dog who just goes with the flow and is so happy and fun and so good and it's just unfortunate that so many get a bad deal. Fortunately, his foster mom reached out to us for help after she learned of his situation and now we are going to get him the home he deserves. I know I'm still learning how all this works-warm beds, full bowls, people who smile when they say my name-but I'm trying really hard.<br/>My first year was rough. I spent a lot of nights outside wondering who no one came back for me. I was hungry, cold and unsure if life and anything good waiting for a dog like me.<br/><br/>But then something changed. Someone saw me. They didn't turn away from my skinny frame or the fear in my eyes. They scooped me up, wrapped my up in warmth and whispered that things were going to get better.<br/>And for the first time...I believed it.<br/><br/>Now I am learning what hope feels like. It feels like soft blankets and slow belly rubs. Like wagging my tail without worrying if it's ok. Like falling asleep knowing someone cares that I'm here.<br/><br/>So Santa, my wish is simple. I just want a forever family who will keep showing me that the world can be kind. A family who sees my brave little heart and knows I'm trying every day to trust again. Someone who wants to watch me grow from the scared, starving puppy I was into the loyal, loving dog I am meant to be.<br/>I<br/> don't need much. Just a home where I am safe, where I am loved and where I never have to wonder if I'll be left behind again.<br/><br/>I think this Christmas might be my turn. After everything, I'm finally ready for my happily ever after. I hope my forever family is out there and I hope they are ready to take a Chance!<br/><br/>Chance is vetted, potty trained, crate trained and ready to go!
