Meet Champ, who was last with us back in 2022! He comes to us as a stray transfer from our neighbors at WAS, so we don't know any new information, but he's 6 years old now and weighs 52 lbs! He shows very strong signs of housetraining, likes giving you his paw, and can be a bit cautious around new people, but warms up extremely quickly, especially if you take things low and slow! Kansas Humane Society of Wichita's Adoption Policy

Adoptions are available on a first come, first served basis - no appointment needed. Holds may be placed for a deposit by visiting KHS, or calling 316-524-9196. When you arrive at KHS, let our adoptions counselors know which animal(s) you'd like to meet in our visiting rooms or play yards. We encourage visits by all members of the household, especially kids and other dogs! *Must be 18 years of age or older (or accompanied by an adult) with a current photo ID. Must be able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment, and proper care for your adopted companion.
