Champ 43337's Story

Please note that PAHS does NOT do online adoption applications. You must come to the shelter in person to meet the PAHS pets.Champ is a 2-year-old male Pit Bull mix who must be neutered before adoption. He was found as a stray; but when his owner was contacted they no longer wanted him. Champ is gray with white markings; and he is a nice-looking dog. He weighs 56 pounds so he is a big fellow. Not only is Champ big--he is VERY strong and active. He would require an experienced owner who is familiar with the breed; and willing to spend a lot of time with him to curb his energy and help Champ understand acceptable behavior. Due to his size and energy level, we do not think Champ should be in a home with children. He is dog specific and if you have another dog--we would require that your dog come to the shelter for a supervised introduction. He does NOT need to be in a home with cats. Again, Champ needs an experienced and patient owner who is willing to spend a lot of time working with him. Dog/puppy adoption fees are $120. Cat/kitten adoption fees are $75. All pets will be spayed/neutered before adoption; or you will be given a discount spay/neuter certificate to be used at participating vet clinics to help with the cost of spay/neuter. Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under 'special needs' our dogs have screened heart worm negative. *****Please note that PAHS does NOT do online adoption applications.
