Chama

Chama is a special girl who needs a rescuer with a special heart, but has so much character and personality the journey should be nothing short of enchanting.<br/><br/>She arrived to us at age two weeks, but shortly thereafter her litter faced a medical calamity. Two were affected, one dying and survivor was Chama. The cause remains a mystery...early diagnoses tested for have come back negative, but a neuro muscular crisis of some sort is the cause. It left her unable to walk for quite some time and she was not thriving, but has turned quite a corner of late.<br/><br/>Chama continues to improve and is far from a petaled flower. She is a sweet girl with a playful and feisty spirit....personality plus and impossible not to love. She will need a devoted adopter who will continue to help her on her journey. Her physical therapist has volunteered her services to Chama's adoptive home.<br/><br/>We are asking that prospective adopters live within one hour of Charlestown, Rhode Island, the location of her PT to ensure she will make those appointments. And that you be someone with the time to devote to this special little girl. <br/><br/>Chama's PT feels with work she will continue to improve, but likely will always operate at some level of neurological deficit.
