Chalupa's Story

Chalupa entered Corona Shelter as a stray, and when he wasn't claimed, we welcomed him as a Frosted Face on April 11th. He is estimated to be 10 years old and weighs 10 lbs. Chalupa is very sweet, gentle boy who wags his tail and becomes very happy to see people he recognizes. He is dog friendly as well!

Chalupa went on a two-week Frosted Fling so we could learn more about him in a home environment while he soaked up lots of love. Happily, that has been upgraded into a foster home for this love bug! His foster mom shares:

"Chalupa is a gentle, hardofhearing, cloverrolling dreamboat. His hobbies include: eating, sleeping, riding in the car, walking happily on a leash, riding calmly in a stroller beside our nervous senior dog, napping, waking up instantly from his nap if his human wanders away, trailing after them with purpose, then resuming his nap in the new location - probably with one eye open. He sleeps through the night and doesn't bark.

Chalupa loves his heated beds with such devotion that he now has two: one for daytime lounging in the family room and one for nighttime slumber in the master bedroom. He also owns several nonheated beds, which he acknowledges but rarely uses. In our castle, we respectfully address him as Prince Dreamboat or Sir Quiet Dreamer.

Prince Dreamboat gets along beautifully with our dog Pepper, our Prince of Drama, by the highly effective method of... ignoring him. Pepper finds this arrangement perfectly acceptable. Prince Dreamboat also ignores our feline Princess Bellina, which delights her to no end. Chalupa is very gentle towards them both.

Sir Quiet Dreamer always lets us know when he needs to go potty by trotting to the door with great purpose. This dreamboat has exactly zero teeth. Soft food is a must. Chalupa adores drifting off to sleep on his human's lap, though surrendering his heated bed is not always a choice he's willing to make."

To meet this very special boy, please email:
placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org
