Chai's Story
Just like her namesake, Chai is sweet, comforting, and best enjoyed curled up close. This 3-month-old female mixed breed is part of the delightful “Tea” Sisters, and she’s a gentle blend of softness and warmth. With her soulful eyes, oversized ears, and perfectly wrinkled little face, Chai is an instant favorite.

Chai is a bit like a freshly brewed cup—she needs a moment to steep. New or chaotic situations can feel overwhelming at first, and she’s more reserved than her sisters, but once she adjusts, she’s smooth, cozy, and ready to go. She enjoys playful “tea parties” with her sisters, chewing on a bone, or enthusiastically de-stuffing a toy, but her favorite pastime is snuggling up into your chest and soaking in affection. She’ll happily drift off to sleep right in your arms or on your lap.

Big dogs can make her a little nervous (quite common for young pups), but she does well with dogs of all sizes and we believe she could learn to comfortably live with a larger canine companion. She gets along well with cats and kids, too—making her a well-balanced blend for many households.

Potty training and crate training are still brewing, but Chai thrives on praise and attention, so we expect training to be a breeze with positive reinforcement. She’s an affectionate, tenderhearted pup who would do wonderfully in any home looking for a loving companion—one who just needs a little extra time to warm up before showing her full, sweet flavor.

If you’re searching for a puppy that’s equal parts cozy cuddle and playful spice, Chai might be the perfect cup for you.

If you’re interested in adopting, please fill out our application, and someone will be in touch with you shortly!
https://animalwelfarefriends.org/adopt/application/
