Cha-Cha's Story

MEET CHA-CHA:

Cha-Cha may have had a rough start, but this little lady is ready to dance her way into someone's heart and finally experience the love and comfort she deserves!

Cha-Cha is a 6 year old, 14lb Pomeranian that was found wandering the streets of Detroit as a stray, and sadly, no one ever came to reclaim her. When she arrived in our care, she was carrying more than just the weight of her past. A large mammary mass was causing her significant discomfort, and her once-beautiful Pomeranian coat was dull, severely matted, and in desperate need of attention. Her tangled fur had to be shaved down to give her a fresh start. And the mammary mass has been removed, making her lifestyle much more comfortable! Despite everything she had endured, Cha-Cha never lost her sweet spirit or her love for people!

This fluffy little social butterfly absolutely adores meeting new faces and is always happy to make a new friend. She has a wonderfully sweet personality and isn't shy about charming everyone she meets. Cha-Cha is the perfect combination of a mature companion with plenty of personality and love to share!

Cha-Cha has demonstrated a good understanding of house manners and is crate trained. She's also very food and treat motivated, which can be a great tool for reinforcing positive behaviors. However, this little diva does have one rule: what's hers is hers when it comes to food! While she has done well with other dogs, she doesn't appreciate sharing her meals, so separate feeding arrangements will be important in a multi-dog household.

Cha-Cha enjoys going for walks and does very well on a leash. As a Pomeranian, she should always be walked using a properly fitted harness rather than attaching a leash to her collar. Small breeds like Pomeranians can be prone to tracheal collapse, making proper support especially important. Cha-Cha is not a candidate for a tether system.

She has done well interacting with other dogs and has shown no negative reactions toward cats. We believe she would be happiest in a home with adults or older, dog-savvy children who understand how to respectfully interact with a smaller dog.

Although Cha-Cha is currently sporting a shorter hairstyle, her beautiful Pomeranian coat will need regular brushing and grooming as it grows back. Her future family must be committed to maintaining her coat so she never has to experience the discomfort of severe matting again.

After everything this sweet girl has been through, Cha-Cha deserves a future filled with soft beds, gentle hands, tasty treats, leisurely walks, and a family who will never let her feel forgotten again.

Cha-Cha isn't asking for a fancy ballroom or a dance partner with perfect moves. She just wants someone who will choose her, cherish her, and dance through life by her side.

Are you ready to let Cha-Cha dance her way into your heart and love her FUREVER?

Cha-Cha is:
Current on Bordetella, Distemper, and Rabies
Dewormed
Heartworm Tested: Negative
Receiving Heartworm and Flea Prevention
Microchipped
Spayed

ADOPTION FEE: $375

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS PET, PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE HTTP://FUREVERTAILS.COM. Unfortunately, at this time we are not currently adopting outside of the state of MI. We process applications ONLY - there is no guarantee that you will get a response to an inquiry.

Many of the animals in our foster program come to us with limited or unknown histories. We make every effort to evaluate each animal's temperament and behavior, including testing their interactions with other dogs, cats, and children (defined as individuals under the age of 18, when available). However, every animal is unique—just as every child and household environment is different.

While we strive to set both our foster animals and adoptive families up for success through thorough assessments and transparent communication, **we cannot guarantee any specific behavioral outcome**. Animals can be unpredictable by nature, and behavior may change in new environments or over time. By proceeding with adoption or foster placement, applicants acknowledge and accept this inherent risk and agree that no guarantees, either expressed or implied, are made regarding the temperament or behavior of any animal placed through our program.

FUREVER TAILS IS A NON-PROFIT, NO-KILL, FOSTER HOME BASED ANIMAL RESCUE BASED OUT OF OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, MI. OUR FOSTER ANIMALS ARE LIVING IN FOSTER HOMES AND TREATED LIKE FAMILY UNTIL THEY FIND THEIR OWN FUREVER FAMILIES. OUR ADOPTION PROECESS REQUIRES AN APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ANIMAL CAN TAKE PLACE. ADOPTION FEES ARE NECESSARY TO HELP US COVER VETTING COSTS FOR OUR RESCUED ANIMALS.
