Cedric's Story
Cedric is an all-around bundle of absolute joy. He checks all the boxes for the perfect pup companion:
Happy-check!… Bouncy-check!… Sweet…check, check!!

Always up for some fun with his human friends, Cedric radiates sunshine & charms everyone he meets.

Ceddy would do well in most homes & would definitely love one in which he had someone around a lot. Because he loves people so much, Cedric can experience some separation anxiety when he is left alone, barking to communicate his feelings. For this reason a home that doesn't share walls with other dwellings would probably be best for him.

While overall a healthy chap, Ced has a few small issues that his people will need to monitor:

-A Grade 2 (out of 5) heart murmur. The murmur is currently asymptomatic, with no outward issues noted.

-A collapsed trachea, a condition that sounds a lot scarier than it is. Mostly, this just causes Cedric to intermittently cough in a way that makes him sound like a goose honking…a fact that doesn’t bother him in the least!

-Cedric tested positive for Lyme disease & was treated with the recommended course of antibiotics. He has never shown any symptoms of Lyme, but it’s possible he may continue to test positive in the future.

When he first came to us in September 2025, Cedric had a lump on his throat that we had surgically removed. The lump was determined to be a simple cyst that was benign & should not return.

At around 9.5 years of age, Cedric is old enough to be settled & comfortable with himself, but he remains perpetually young-at-heart. While we are surprised that no one has scooped him up just yet, we know his people are out there!

If you would like to meet this special, silly little man, please email dogs@lunashouse.org to get more information or complete an adoption application which is linked on the main adoptable dogs page on our website. Please be patient to hear from us as we are all volunteers and may not be able to respond immediately.

Our volunteers make sure just the right home is chosen so they require a home visit to make sure there are no safety issues. You must live within a 50 mile radius of our location in order to be considered.

The adoption fee is $250 and includes vaccines, flea prevention treatment, neuter/spay, and micro chipping.
