Cedo's Story

Meet Cedo! This handsome 5-year-old, 80-pound black lab mix (exact breed unknown!) is the ultimate velcro dog and loyal cuddlebug. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who will happily curl up at your feet and soak up every bit of affection you offer, Cedo is your guy.

While he isn't the biggest fan of his crate, he is non-destructive and trustworthy when left to roam freely. He is smart, eager to learn, and generally good on a leash, though he can pull if he spots another animal. He LOVES going on walks and hikes.. and swimming!

Cedo is also a great communicator who lets you know how he feels. If something bothers him, he’ll give a grumble just to voice his boundary, but it never goes beyond that.

Cedo’s absolute favorite thing in the world is playing ball. He can entertain himself with a tennis ball for hours and he would love a large yard to play ball in. Cedo gets along well with other dogs, though his play style can include some rough and tumble, so he’ll do best with a canine companion who is either tolerant or happy to give him a clear, polite correction.

The Atlantic Paws Project's Adoption Policy
At The Atlantic Paws Project, our adoption policies are designed to ensure that every dog is placed in a loving, permanent home as a cherished family member. We require adopters to provide a "nonrefundable" donation to support our rescue efforts and commit to high standards of care, which includes keeping the dog primarily indoors with full house privileges, providing quality nutrition, and ensuring they are never used as guard animals or transported in open vehicles. Adopters assume full responsibility for all veterinary care including maintaining current vaccinations, heartworm, and flea/tick preventatives and must keep microchip information up to date. If behavioral challenges arise, we require owners to work with a professional trainer to resolve them; however, if an adoption cannot continue for any reason, the dog must be returned to us rather than being sold or rehomed elsewhere.
