Cedar's Story
Meet Cedar - 1 year old Female Border Collie (mix ?)

Cedar is an intense, active, sensitive, smart girl still trying to find her place in the world. She loves to be outside and will do best in an active home, farm, or ranch under the right circumstances. Cedar is somewhat independent and a little nervous with new people, but with time bonds deeply to her humans. She tends to be most nervous with men.

More about Cedar:

- Dogs - Cedar loves other dogs. A confident dog buddy will help her thrive. However, her tendency to herd other dogs, such as during games of fetch may turn off some dogs.

- FAST & playful - Cedar zooms around the yard and loves to stash and find bones.

- Good at self-entertaining - However, she will get into mischief if given too much downtime.

- Toys - It is all about the toys for Cedar. She is not a fetching dog (in spite of the pictures that show her with a ball in her mouth). She loves to collect toys and stash them in a pile somewhere in the yard!

- Kids - Due to her herdy-ness Cedar would not be a good match for a family with children

- Cats - Also not likely to be a good match as she would likely give chase

- Other Animals - Cedar has not been exposed to chickens, goats, horses, cows etc. in her foster home, but expect that she would give chase if given the opportunity.

- House trained - house training is going well!

- Crate trained sleeps quietly through the night in her crate as long as she has been sufficiently exercised.

- Generally quiet Not a barker.

- Travelling Companion Rides well in the car

- Resource guarding Cedar has mild resource guarding, but it is manageable

- Recall - Cedar's recall is decent when not pressured

Cedar is being fostered in the Culver, Oregon area. Cedar presently weighs 32 pounds. She is up to date on her vaccinations and has been spayed, wormed, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $400.
