Cedar (bonded with Shaddock)'s Story
Meet the Peepers!

Shaddock and Cedar are a bonded brother and sister who are about 6 1/2 years old and can always be found in close proximity to each other. Rescue volunteers affectionately call them the “peepers” because they love nothing more than to shadow you around the dog dorm and peep out from little nooks and cubbies to monitor the cleaning and feeding process. They are exceptionally curious and intelligent, not to mention adorable!

Shaddock is the white and red boy, and Cedar is his reddish-brown sister. Thanks to a very patient foster mom, these sweethearts have become way more confident and are looking for a furever home that will be very patient with them. These little “shorty longs” aren’t the type to be snuggly companions, but for the right owner, they could be the BEST roommates who listen to everything you have to say.

After a slow, patient introduction and some decompression time, they really do like to be around their people and are quite curious about what you’re up to! They sleep in a crate together at night and learned outside potty manners at their foster home. As far as housetraining goes, they do especially well if there is a doggy door or easy access to a securely-fenced outside area.

If you’re an active walker who wants to take your dogs to the park, these are probably not the companions for you, as they do not have leash training. But they are great with other dogs, and they don’t seem to mind cats. (We are able to do a more thorough cat test upon request.) If you have a cozy, quiet home and would like some company, fill out an adoption or foster application today at www.waldosmuttleycrew.org.
