Cedar (26-109)'s Story

4/27/26: Meet Cedar - Attentive, Loyal, and Eager to Learn

Cedar has made great progress over the past few weeks and continues to improve with consistency and structure. He knows sit and stay well, especially when working with a prong collar, and is attentive and responsive to his handler.

He is friendly and enjoys working, though he can become distracted around other dogs. With guidance and correction, he refocuses well and is expected to keep improving over time. Due to some territorial tendencies, Cedar would do best as the only dog in the home.

Cedar prefers a mix of soft and dry food and settles into routines nicely. He has been a pleasure to train and shows steady growth each week.

With continued structure and leadership, Cedar will make a loyal and rewarding companion for the right home.

---

3/30/26: So long, rescue family! It's the rescue's monthly Prison Program swap today, so I will be gone for 4 weeks. I will be unavailable for adoption until: April 27th, 2026. The first available day to schedule an appointment to see me would be Wednesday April 29th. I'll see ya later!

---

3/11/26: Meet Cedar!

Cedar is a handsome 3-year-old black and tan shepherd with a personality that's all puppy - even though he's fully grown! Originally found as a stray, Cedar was transferred to our rescue and has been showing just how fun and playful he can be.

He's full of energy and curiosity, and while he already has a nice boy, he will benefit from some training to polish his manners and help him thrive in a home environment. Cedar loves to play, explore, and be around people, making him a perfect match for an active family who enjoys a spirited, affectionate companion.

Cedar is already neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccines, so he's ready to head straight to his forever home. If you're looking for a playful, loyal shepherd with plenty of love to give, Cedar is waiting to meet you!
