Cedar's Story
Meet Cedar, a handsome 2-year-old Red tri-color Australian Shepherd who’s looking for his furever family! Cedar was found on a farm in southern Oklahoma and is ready to find a safe, loving home.

Cedar is fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, house trained, well-mannered, and will be neutered and microchipped.

Cedar is one smart cookie–he learns quickly, walks well on a leash (front lead attachment), is crate trained, and has quickly picked up basic commands. He thrives when he’s engaged, challenged, and given the chance to use that big Aussie brain!

Cedar’s favorite thing in the world is play! He loves to run around the yard to fetch, wants to tug and jump, and chases toys like it’s his job. He approaches play with a lot of exuberance and energy and sometimes wants to grab a toy from your hand but has the gentlest mouth when taking treats.

Cedar is a social dog and responds well to other female dogs.. He has not been tested with male dogs post-neuter. He has a strong prey drive and would not do well with a cat or other small animal sharing his space. He has not been tested with small children but would likely do better in a home with older children.

Cedar needs consistent stimulation, training, structure and love and will reward you with loyalty, eagerness to please, and a deep bond. He will thrive in an active household–he would make an excellent running or hiking buddy! He deserves someone who will commit to continuing his training and helping him grow into the incredible companion he’s meant to be. Hey, you may even win an agility or other dog sport contest with him by your side!
