This lovable girl is blind, though she can see a few shadows out of one eye! She’s super social, loves playing with her dog friends at daycare, and once she’s had a chance to explore a new space, she navigates it with ease. After just one walk-around, she’s good to go and ready to play! Cece is an incredibly friendly and affectionate girl, though because she can’t always see how close she is, she can sometimes come off a little pushy with dogs unintentionally! She’s curious about the world and loves to explore, but she also needs a family who will continue to encourage her to try new things, because, for a dog who can’t see clearly, the world can sometimes feel a little scary. Since starting her training program, Cece has made huge progress. She’s now able to go for walks and visit new places without shutting down — something that once felt impossible for her to do! Every day, she’s building her confidence and learning how to embrace new experiences, and she needs a family who will continue that journey with her. Cece’s perfect home would have: -A home with a fenced in yard where she can safely explore and sniff around freely. (While apartment living can be wonderful for many dogs, it’s not the best setup for Cece, she needs an enclosed, quiet space where she can move around confidently without the hustle and bustle of shared hallways and heavy traffic) -Another friendly, social dog, preferably medium to large in size. Other dogs really bring out the best in Cece! Having a confident playmate helps her feel secure and gives her a guide in new environments. Cece has been trained with a prong collar and e-collar, tools that are essential in helping her understand and navigate her world safely. Anyone interested in adopting her must be ready and willing to continue using these tools as part of her ongoing training and support.
