Ceazer's Story

Someone is going to get a great dog if they adopt Ceazer. His owners were forced to surrender Ceazer because they became homeless and could no longer keep him. It was not an easy thing for them to have to do. They had Cezar since he was 3 months old and he is now 2 ½ years old. They described him as playful, friendly, and lovable. I can verify all of this after spending some time with Ceazer in our exercise yard. For a good look at him off leash and enjoying his toys, watch his video on Petfinder.

Ceazer is a neutered male Shepherd/Mastiff mix weighing 68 lbs. I walked him on just a slip lead with a minimum amount of pulling and tugging and could easily be directed. So nice to be able to walk a larger dog without being dragged down the street. You should be able to enjoy your walks with him from the very start. He is housetrained and was quick to take care of his business as soon as we got out the door and onto the grass. He is also crate trained and you should be able to leave the house without him getting into trouble. ?

Ceazer was in a home with children ages 8 – 18 without any problems. We always recommend bringing children to meet a dog before adoption. He already knows several basic commands. He is happy to sit for you, down, stay, shake paws with you, and comes running when you call him. He takes treats gently and you won’t lose a finger. He might have a little Retriever in him as well. He loves to play with and retrieve tennis balls. Watch him in his video. I would describe his energy level as medium, and he has mostly a calm demeanor. He truly is lovable. He is content to sit with you calmly and sponge up all the loving he can get from you.

Ceazer was in a home with another dog without there being any problems. But if you already have a dog(s) in your home, there would be a meet & greet at the shelter.

Ceazer has got all this going for him plus he is just such a handsome boy. Past the puppy and teen-age stages and yet still a very young dog. I am certain if you just spend a short time with Ceazer you will know he is the dog you have been searching for. Nothing to lose by giving him a chance and everything to gain for both Ceazer and you.
