CEASAR's Story

Hello! I was surrendered to the shelter when my previous owner could no longer care for me. I am a little older, but I'm ready to have fun and I still have lots of love to give! I am reported to be good with cats, dogs, and kids in my previous home. All newly adopted pets will need slow, monitored introductions to new people or pets in a home. Visit this page for more information about properly introducing pets. INSIGHTS FROM MY ADVENTURE BUDDIES: Very gentle - took treats sooo gently. Not a mean bone in this boy's body. He is pretty good on a leash. Loves food :) We went on a walk and to a coffee shop. Finished with a pup cup. Did great in the car and was a perfect boy the whole time. Saw lots of other people, kids and dogs and he was very chill. He's very gentle. I think he'd be a great family dog. He is very friendly and well behaved, such a sweetheart. Favorite thing: that he is so gentle and friendly. Caesar is energetic and happy. He seemed to love seeing new people and sniffing around, an we was super happy when people pet him. Ceasar is a wonderful dog! He is sweet, affectionate, friendly, and smart. He stayed with us for 5 days and was the best boy. He is house trained and didn't have a single accident. He was curious and explored the house, but was very respectful and didn't chew on anything except his squeaky toys. He is great both indoors and outdoors - he loves long walks and is always ready to go out, but when inside he is calm and takes lots of naps. He is the biggest cuddlebug and loves nothing more than to snuggle next to someone on the sofa. He is a very good sleeper and sleeps through the night without needing a crate. He likes squeaky toys and loves food toys - he was excellent at finding treats in a snuffle ball and a food puzzle. Ceasar clearly loved staying with us and being part of a family. I think he is especially suited for someone who wants a loyal, loving companion. Ceasar is extremely friendly and well-mannered. He loves people and getting lots of pets. He is energetic, enjoys walks, and loves sniffing around. Even though he loves sniffing around he does not get into things. As much as he is energetic, he also loves sleeping and being a cuddle bug. He slept throughout the night and is house-trained. He loves food and is treat-motivated. He gets anxious of noises outside when he is inside, but that is expected! He would benefit from a crate inside the car since he gets anxious/excited. He is very loyal and attached, craving attention from someone who loves him! He doesn’t mind when you touch his paws, is not food aggressive, and is overall such a wonderful dog. Anyone would be lucky to have Ceasar in their life.: Cesar and I had the best long weekend together. He loved romping in the snow and taking walks. He loves jumping on the couch, putting his head on you and snoozing away. He snores like an old man which I absolutely loved. There was no growling or aggression towards my cats, but he showed high interest in them and chased them whenever they came around. Cesar enjoyed car rides but did appear anxious. There was no food aggression during his feedings and he gently took treats. He is a very loving dog looking for his forever home and would make his perfect family the luckiest family out there. I lost my dog of 12 years about two months ago. Although I’m not ready to adopt just yet. Cesar opened my heart to the idea. I loved the trust he showed me so quickly and brought joy to my house again. His sweet gray face, cuddles and the best snoring ever. Ceaser is a very good dog, who sometimes forget he's not a puppy and also how big he is when he wants to fit on your lap. He just wants to sit and follow wherever you go. He is very playful with strangers and children. He can nibble your hand out of excitement but stops as soon as you tell him no. He likes long walks and enjoys being outside. He does get a bit nervous during car drives but doesn't trouble a lot.
