However, a single person that will spend the day with him would make Cato happy as well.<br/><br/>Because of his age, Cato does need to go outside frequently for potty breaks—something all senior dog caregivers should be prepared for. He may not show his emotions openly when meeting new people, but he enjoys gentle affection and being petted. Give him time, and you’ll see a quiet, deeply grateful love shine through.<br/><br/>Cato doesn’t ask for much—just the essentials: a cozy dog bed (or better yet, a warm lap), three meals a day (he’s still gaining weight after being underweight), and, most importantly, a kind and patient human to love him.<br/><br/>This lovely old guy has experienced the joy and comfort of a real home, and it’s all he wants again.
