She picked up on the household routines very quickly and plays well with the resident dog. She is happy to share toys with him, even though he can be a bit of a butt and likes to take her toys from her. Castiel simply lets him have them and has no issues with it.<br/><br/>When they aren’t playing, Castiel enjoys relaxing on the couch with a toy. She is still working on her leash manners, but she already knows “sit,” “come,” “down,” and “crate.” She is also working on “wait” for her food.<br/><br/>Castiel does well in the backyard with minimal supervision. The yard has a 4-foot fence, and she has been doing great with it.<br/><br/>She is currently spending about 8 hours a day in her crate, sometimes a little longer, and does wonderfully. She goes right into her crate and settles down nicely.<br/><br/>Overall, Castiel is proving to be a wonderful, easygoing girl who is adjusting beautifully to her foster home!<br/><br/>***TO INQUIRE: IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS OR WANT TO MEET THIS ANIMAL, please come to the shelter during our operating hours OR email AnimalServices@bcohio.gov.<br/><br/><br/>Castiel-Blue is current on shots, licensed, and microchipped. All dogs over 6 months have been heartworm tested, and all dogs are treated monthly for fleas/ticks and are on Heartworm prevention (NexGard PLUS). All pets are spayed/neutered prior to a finalized adoption. All our dogs receive a behavior assessment before being placed for adoption to determine initial behaviors towards people and other dogs in the shelter environment. People visiting the shelter in person or viewing animals on our website will note that all of our dogs are labeled as Mixed Breeds unless they have been DNA tested or are surrendered to the shelter with paperwork. Any potential breeds listed here on PetFinder are not assumed to be accurate and are merely a starting point for people to be able to search for a dog who may visually resemble a breed they are interested in.
