Cassie's Story

Hi, I'm Cassie
Today was my big field trip, and even though I was really nervous at first, it turned out to be a pretty wonderful day.
We tried to go to the park, but wow... there was just so much going on. So many sounds, smells, and things moving around-it made me feel small and a little scared. I decided that wasn't for me (at least not yet). Luckily, my human understood and took me somewhere much quieter-an apartment where I could finally relax.
And oh... it was perfect.
I found a cozy little spot, curled up, and let myself breathe. I didn't explore much-I felt safest staying in my corner-but I didn't mind. From there, I got all the best things: gentle pets, kind voices, and treats (even if I had to investigate them with a few cautious licks first). I'm still figuring things out, you know!
I may be shy, but I have a lot of love to give. Once I start to feel safe, I really enjoy being close to my humans. I especially love giving kisses-it's kind of my specialty.
I'd say I'm more of a "couch potato" type of girl. Big adventures can be a little overwhelming right now, but quiet homes, soft places to nap, and patient people? That's my dream.
I'm still learning that the world isn't such a scary place. With time, kindness, and a little encouragement, I think I'll get braver. For now, I just need someone who understands that it's okay to take things slow.
Today, I'd give my experience a 10/10. Not because I was fearless-but because I felt safe, cared for, and loved.
Maybe next time... I'll explore just a little more.
