Cassie's Story
Meet Cassie! She is a tri-pod (has 3 legs) and is what we like to call, a pocket-pitty, weighing in at 33 pounds! She's 2 years old and a love bug. She is fully vetted, spayed, vaccinated, and ready for LOVE!

Cassie was hit by a car and someone called Orange County Animal Services to pick her up. Unfortunately, she ended having a double fracture in her front leg and they couldn't give her the medical care she needed, so she was placed on the euthanasia list on Thanksgiving day. We took her from OCAS and got her booked for an immediate surgery where it was determined that an amputation was the best option for her. She has adjusted so well to her 3 legs and absolutely nothing is stopping her from acting like a dog that still has all 4 legs!

We have been able to conclude that she came from a really bad place. She was covered in dirt when we got her and we believe she might have been living outside. We know that she deserves so much more than what she had before.

Cassie is an absolute favorite of so many. We've taken her to events and everyone is always drawn to her. She is SO sweet and full of so much love to give. She is often described by rescue team members as a really special dog. She is absolutely the type of dog that will fill your life with so much love and joy. She has also been known by the nickname, Glinda, because she particularly enjoys listening to the Wicked Musical movie soundtrack ;)

She does not have any medical concerns and tri-pod dogs live very long, healthy lives. She can run, jump, do stairs and loves going on walks like a champ. Give this special girl a chance!

Cassie has gone thru training so she knows commands like sit, down, and place. We do not recommend placing her with cats or small animals as she can run after them like it’s a game!

Adoption fee: $250

Apply to adopt at https://betterlifepets.com/adoption-application
