cassie's Story

Beautiful Cassie is an approximately 6-year-old, 65-pound Plott Hound mix. She may have applications in progress, but is currently available.

Cassie has been patiently waiting to find her forever home for close to two years. She needs a home and family willing to give her patience and love to feel comfortable. She has been with her foster for these two years and she can attest that Cassie is the best dog once given the opportunity. You will be rewarded with her sweet personality and seeing her joy at experiencing the world when she feels safe. She will literally jump for joy for a treat, and we dare you to not feel joy watching her toss around her toys. Cassie requires a home with a fenced in yard, as well as to be tethered in the yard until she is comfortable. She is afraid of fireworks and new environments. She also requires structured and slow introductions to new dogs, but does great once comfortable. She lives with multiple other dogs in her foster home and has done great with older kids. Could you be the one to give this girl the chance she deserves to have a forever family of her own?

Adoption fee is $375 and includes spay/neuter, microchip, fecal/deworming, vaccines and prevention up to date. Ohio residents only.

STS is a foster-based and volunteer-run rescue. We do not have a physical location or set hours for you to meet dogs, and it does take time to answer each inquiry. All dogs are in foster homes and once an application is approved and a home visit is completed you will be able to schedule meet and greets with available dogs. We encourage interested individuals to get approved prior to searching as it helps expedite the process. A Petfinder inquiry is not a substitute for an application.
