Cassidy's Story

Cassidy was found outside in front of a store in the middle of a freezing night. Her paw pads torn, her ears horribly infected and she looked liked she had just finished nursing puppies. She was freezing and scared. A Good Samaritan posted on FB saying “she will spend the night in her car with this pocket bully and wait for a rescue to come pickup this dog”. This lady met us at the vet with Cassidy and we had her fully vetted. That was right before Christmas. Cassidy is now the happiest and the fastest ZOOMIE runner you will ever meet. She loves playing with other dogs of all sizes. She’s a complete cuddle bug. Cassidy will be available for adoption in March 2023. We are currently raising money for her to have tumors removed from her ears. The vet believes she suffered from neglect from previous owners who forsake taking her to vet for a simple ear infection and allowed her to suffer to the point she has pockets of infected tumors in both ears. Do not let Cassidys ears make you not consider her for adoption. After this surgery her ears will be fixed and she will be ready for her happily ever after. Cassidy is going to make a great family dog.

Oklahoma Ruff Refuge's Adoption Policy
OUR ADOPTION PROCESS FILL OUT AN APPLICATION The purpose of an application is to find suitable fosters and homes for our rescue animals. In order to do so, we need information about your background, family dynamics, and plans to care for the intended pet. Submitting an application does NOT obligate you to foster or adopt nor does it secure an animal in your name. Age 25 is our minimum age limit for adopters. Please fill out an application if you would like to foster or adopt from Oklahoma Ruff Refuge. Part of the adoptions process will include an informal home visit in person or via live video chat to ensure a safe environment for your new family member. We are happy to help you to improve safety issues and answer any of your questions. Once your application is submitted you will be assigned a team member with the goal of helping you find the perfect pet. Every step through the adoption process should take less than a week from start to finish. Let’s make your adoption a great experience.
