Casper's Story

Meet Casper – A Handsome Boy with a Heart to Love!

Meet Casper! This gorgeous two-year-old Shepherd mix has one beautiful blue eye, one warm brown eye, magnificent ears, and a personality that has won over the hearts of our staff and volunteers here at UPAWS!

Casper is a friendly, affectionate boy who enjoys spending time with people. He’s playful, curious, and has a sweet side that makes him especially lovable. And one of his most endearing habits? He absolutely loves carrying around his favorite stuffed toy! There’s something pretty adorable about seeing this handsome shepherd proudly walking around with his treasured little companion.

At just two years old, Casper has plenty of life and adventures ahead of him! He would love a family that enjoys spending time with their dog, whether that’s exploring the outdoors, taking walks, playing together, or simply enjoying each other’s company. Positive reinforcement training, interactive activities, and a consistent routine would be wonderful ways to build a strong bond with this intelligent boy.

Casper has become a favorite among many of our staff and volunteers, and it’s easy to see why. He enjoys attention, has an affectionate personality, and brings a little extra happiness to those who spend time with him.

A few important things to know about Casper: He has occasionally shown some possessiveness over his toys during playtime. His future family should be comfortable respecting his space, using positive reinforcement, and helping him feel secure when enjoying his favorite belongings. Our staff will be happy to discuss this with potential adopters.

Casper previously lived with another dog and has shown positive interest in dogs during some of his interactions at the shelter. However, he has also had a difficult encounter with another dog, so introductions will need to be carefully managed. Any resident dogs will need to come for a meet-and-greet, and slow, thoughtful introductions will be important.

Casper needs a home without cats due to his strong interest in chasing them. Families with respectful children may be a good match, with appropriate introductions and an understanding of his toy-related behaviors.

What makes Casper so special isn’t just his striking good looks. It’s the affectionate, playful boy behind those beautiful eyes, the dog who loves his stuffed toy, enjoys spending time with people, and has so much companionship to offer.

Casper is ready for a family who will appreciate his personality, understand his needs, and give him the love, patience, and opportunities he deserves.

Could Casper be the wonderful new companion you’ve been looking for?

Important Adoption Information

Casper is NOT included in the Fox Subaru adoption event.

Interested adopters must complete an adoption application. All human household members and resident dogs are required to attend a meet-and-greet with Casper.

Our goal is to find the best possible match for this very special boy and his future family.
