<p>Cashew is an adorable chi mix who was sadly dumped in a public area, picked up by animal control landing in a shelter. We busted Cashew out of that place and moved into a loving foster home. A scarey shelter was no place for such a sweet little pup.</p><br/><br/><p>Cashew is in need of consistent basic training and positive reinforcement and crate training, as you would expect for a poor soul dumped like garbage in an urban setting. He is getting used to being on leash, but gets startled easily by loud noises. Thankfully he bonds quickly and will look to his human as his emotional support person. It works both ways!</p><br/><br/><p>Cashew is very playful and loves all kinds of toys - you name it, and he'll play with it. You'll see him enjoy stuffies, rubber chew toys, Kongs, rubber bones, balls - anything he can tussle with, chase and/or chew on!</p><br/><br/><p>Cashew is a very outgoing pup who loves meeting new people and gets super excited to find a new playmate! He will jump up to you to say hello in a very friendly way, which is very charming. He would benefit by wearing a tutu around his waist, which would match his adorable wiggly bottom perfectly! If you're looking for huge personality in a little midget of a dog, look no further!</p><br/><br/><p>Cashew is smart as a whip and as cute as can be! He notices everything, hears everything, and has a real joie de vivre (joy of life)! Once he has a chance to play and tucker out, he will relax into a cozy nap on the couch with you for cuddle time. He always sleeps close to his foster family and we find that super sweet and adorable!</p><br/><br/><p>A special comment from his foster: "Cashew puts the Ram in RAMbunctious - but he will make a delicious addition to a loving family. He is SPECIAL"</p><br/><br/><p>Cashew is not yet neutered, but is UTD on vaccinations. The good news is that because we are a licensed, registered 501(c)3 rescue with the state of NJ, he is eligible to be neutered for just $20 with proof of adoption (adoption contract) through the NJ Low Cost Spay/Neuter Grant Program. It's super-easy, just present our contract at a participating vet and make the neuter appt!
