Cash's Story

Hello! My name is Cash, and I am a 3 year old purebred German Shepherd. I've been told my ears didn't harden and develop enough cartilage and my foster mom honestly thought it suited my personality better, so she never bothered to tape them. She has had me since I was six months old and to no fault of my own, I am still looking for a home. I am a good boy, but need someone who high energy dog experience, if not breed and temperament experience. I am high energy, medium to high drive, but do have an off switch. I am kennel trained, and gin when left alone and at night because my foster mom believes that is the safest choice for a multidog home.

I am not overly interested in cats, or playing with other dogs, though I am tolerant an d neutral in most situations. I am not submissive though and will stand up for my space or fight back if someone else starts it. I've only started a few issues of my own while overstimulated and over food. I should probably be fed separately or with full supervision on leash. I eat six cups of Diamond extreme athlete every day! I need mental stimulation, exercise, interaction, training and consistent structure to thrive. I am a good boy, my mom says, with wonderful environment neutrality. I could, given the chance, possibly perform service tasks because of my stability. I am a vocal, goofy guy who desperately wants his own family. I would do best with older dog savvy children. I haven't been exposed to kids much. Ideally, I would be an only dog as I am so much happier when a ton of of attention is dedicated to me or with a medium to large female dog.

I have been around horses and would love to learn to be trail or competition buddy! I would your trailer and truck safe, as well as your yard but I do not want to be an outdoor dog left for guarding. I am prey driven but easily controlled under supervision. I would take my chance though, if left with a rabbit or chickens...I can't help it if you arent there to guide me. My foster mom, who is a dog trainer, thinks I'd be a great sport dog! I am not AKC papered but my mom and dad were. I will need to be fixed before leaving or shortly after settling in with you.
