Casey's Story
Meet Casey! Casey is a sweet and gentle senior girl, estimated to be around 13 years old, who is looking for a calm, loving home to spend her golden years. This low-maintenance lady is happiest simply being near her people, lounging by your side, and soaking up love and companionship.

Casey currently lives with another dog and does well, though slow and proper introductions are recommended with new canine friends. Shes a quiet girl who rarely barks — usually only joining in when another dog starts first.

While Casey enjoys leisurely walks, she prefers to take things slow and easy. She occasionally gets a playful little burst of energy with toys, but overall shes much more of a cuddle-and-relax kind of companion.

Casey has Cushings disease, which is successfully managed with daily medication. She has an established routine and is doing well with it. She also does great in a home setting without a crate. Currently, she stays in a cozy gated guest room area when left alone or overnight, where she reliably uses pee pads if needed. When shes out and about with her people, shell politely whine to let you know she needs to go outside.

Casey would thrive in a peaceful home where she can enjoy soft beds, short strolls, and plenty of love. If youre looking for a quiet, affectionate companion to share your days with, Casey may be the perfect match.

Visit STAF.org for more information on our adoption process. *** Email adoptadog@STAF.org for next steps! ***

All of our animals are spayed/neutered and current on shots.
We do not do same-day adoptions. You will be asked to return for at least one follow-up visit, then take the dog home for a trial period before officially adopting.
You must be 21 years or older to adopt from STAF.
Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we can not adopt to homes with invisible fences.
We do request vet and personal references.
We can facilitate adoptions within a 30-mile radius of our Cincinnati-based shelter.
Adoption through STAF includes full vetting of the dogs, including a spay/neuter at 6 months (female)/9month (male) maximum.
