Through no fault of his own, Casey hasn't found his forever home. We love out Canadian adopters, so we've decided to place him for adoption on Vancouver Island! Casey is being fostered in Portland and I am in Seattle. Several of our dogs have been adopted in Victoria and I am the person who takes them to their forever homes! He'd like to have a mom in the home. He warms up to men, but he is weary at first. and 2.) He'd like to have a playful dog in the home.<br/><br/>More about Casey...<br/><br/>He's a cute little man weighing in at 18 lbs. and is about 2 years old. He is a genuine mutt!! His coat is a beautiful auburn color making him look very unique!<br/><br/>Casey was out running in the streets with 2 larger dogs at an apartment complex in Texas. The 2 larger dogs were rescued, and Casey was at risk of being alone, so he came to join us at the rescue. Thank goodness he had a Good Samaritan looking out for him! He was very relieved to be rescued!<br/><br/>Casey really enjoys the company of dogs and is very playful. He loves people but we think he'd do best with older kids who aren't grabby. He does like to cuddle and sit on available laps. He isn't lazy though and enjoys his 1+ hour daily walks and would be up for a hike or ride in the car. He's a big dog in a compact body. He must have another dog in the home. A playful dog is even better as he does love to play!<br/><br/>He is crate trained and will go into his crate to relax. He loves to hang out in the yard and doesn't mind the rain. A definite plus in the PNW! He's just a sweet, playful guy that will be the perfect companion for anyone willing to get to know him.<br/><br/>Casey's adoption fee is $500 which includes his transport, vaccinations, neuter and microchip. 100% of the fee goes to his care.<br/><br/>Please contact Karin at karinkeith@hotmail.com for more details.
