Case's Story

Meet Case! This handsome tripod may only have three legs, but that certainly doesn't slow him down. Case is a friendly, affectionate boy who has quickly won over volunteers with his sweet personality, gentle nature, and love of spending time with people.

Case enjoys getting out for his walks, exploring at his own pace, and soaking up all the pets and attention he can get. Volunteers describe him as very sweet, cuddly, and easy to spend time with. He loves scratches, enjoys lounging in the sunshine, and has even been noted to do well with children and other dogs. While he can be a little strong on leash and occasionally gets startled by sudden noises or moving objects, he recovers well and continues on his way.

Despite being heartworm positive and currently limited to slow walks, Case remains cheerful and engaged. He enjoys sniffing around, checking out the world around him, and spending quality time with his favorite people. Volunteers consistently mention what a kind, gentle dog he is and how much they enjoy being around him.

Case is looking for a family that will appreciate his resilient spirit, loving personality, and laid-back charm. If you're searching for a loyal companion who enjoys both quiet cuddle sessions and leisurely adventures, Case may be the perfect match.

At a Glance

Age: 5 years old
Personality: Sweet, gentle, affectionate, resilient, and people-oriented
Training: Walks nicely overall, enjoys being around people,
Favorite Activities: Going for walks, sniffing around, getting pets and scratches, lounging in the sun, and spending time with people and canine friends

SPCA of Southwest Michigan's Adoption Policy
We have same day adoptions! You are welcome to visit our shelter anytime during our open hours. When you visit, you can either look through the kennel first or go into a meet and greet room with an available animal of interest. In the meet and greet room, we will let you spend time with the animal and read off their file. If you have a dog at home, you can bring them along with you to do a dog-to-dog meet and greet. The main question we ask is if you own or rent your home. If you rent we check your pet policy. Bring your pet policy with you; as that is the quickest way for us to check. Once that clears, all you would need to do is fill out an adoption contract and pay their adoption fee. They would go home with you after that! If you are adopting a cat, you are welcome to bring your own carrier with you. We do have carriers to borrow or cardboard boxes to send home with you if you do not have one. If you are adopting a dog, you are welcome to bring your own leash and collar. We do have leashes and collars to send home with you as well. Holds We offer holds over the phone and in-person. The hold fee is $50 and is non-refundable. Holds over the phone are for 24 hours and holds in-person are for 48 hours.
