Carmy's Story

Meet Carmy!
Breed: Boxer Mix
Age: Adult
Weight: 50 pounds
Housetrained: yes
Crate trained: I don't do well in crates and the stress of being in one makes my tummy upset.
Good with: Older, respectful kids (I love the kiddos!)
Special needs: I have separation anxiety, so I take meds to help me feel better

I'm a super happy and energetic boy and I love my humans so much! My favorite thing ever is to be outside with you – whether we are going for a walk around the neighborhood, a hike in the woods, or playing fetch in the yard. My second favorite thing is to snuggle with you.

Although I am a young guy, I am content with a few walks a day.. I am super smart and I love to learn new tricks for treats. I am very content having all of your attention.

Since I have separation anxiety, I'll need my medication and an understanding family that is willing to work with me as I get used to their routine. In my foster home, I am now comfortable being home by myself for up to 8 hours during the daytime, but it took me several weeks to work up to that much time alone without being stressed.

I’m very friendly with everyone I meet. My foster family has hosted parties and I was everyone’s favorite. I’ve also gone out for drinks at busy dog friendly bars.

I’m a big cuddler, but, fair warning, I will take up all your personal space on the couch or bed because I like to snuggle close. I can’t wait to find a forever family that is willing to learn and grow with me. I promise to pay you back with lots of love and kisses!

Carmy is fostered in the Madison, WI area.

Albert's Dog Lounge is a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs.

Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and then a meet and greet with the dog.
