What isn’t a mystery is how lovable he is. This boy is all heart! Sadly, Carmelo was adopted from us briefly and then returned because he was far too energetic for his newly pregnant owner and their young child. But for the right family, Carmelo is the perfect mix of fun, silly, loving, and eager to learn. He’s friendly, social, and loves people! He’ll happily soak up pets and attention. Zoomies are his specialty, but once he gets his energy out, he melts into a calm, cuddly companion. He loves kids, but because he doesn’t know his own size, homes with older children only are recommended. He’s ready for someone who sees his potential and wants a loyal, joyful best friend. If you’re looking for a dog who will make you laugh, keep you active, and love you endlessly, Carmelo is your guy. Our clinic suspects that Carmelo may have allergies (flea, food or environmental). Carmelo was on antibiotics and anti-itch medication, and his skin has improved, however he was still noted to be itchy. It is likely that Carmelo may need ongoing or future care and maintenance for his skin and ear issues after adoption.
