Meet Carly! She's a 42 lb. Pittie mix, 1-2 years old. Carly loves all humans and has previously lived with kids but would do best as the only dog. She would likely do best in a home where her people are retired or work from home. Carly can be an escape artist, so needs a secure yard with supervision, and she did pass her crate assessment. Being a mostly white with short fur, she needs sunscreen on the top of her head, ears & nose when spending time outside. <br/><br/>Carly got a field trip & this is what her handler had to say: "Carly is not a truck-bed riding kind of dog, she's a laying her head on your right lap and falling asleep kind of vehicle rider. She does not impede on your driving while in the cab with you, just wants to be close. She did well exploring at the park and never pulled hard while on the 30 line. Carly had a decent recall and seems to want to stay near her handler. It took very subtle corrections to get her to stay walking next to her handlers left side. She stops and waits patiently with you at the crosswalk before crossing the street. She loves meeting all people and did not try to pull or react to any other dogs while in town. Her only reaction, and it seemed more of a protective reaction, was towards a gentleman in the bank who had extremely long and full curly black hair and even he said it was his hair. Carly received a lot of compliments on her looks in town, her coat is soft and healthy and she enjoys as much affection as she can get, including receiving gentle kisses happily.
