CARLA - Adopted

THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND CONSIDERATION<br><br>THIS IS CARLA....a 10 lbs, silver/tan/black, Silky mix....who is apx 8 yrs old. Our vet thinks 6 yrs old -- having had a hard life -- but we tend to think she is a little older. If dogs could talk in people language, we could piece her story together.  Unfortunately, we can only assume and speculate, but no matter what it was, somewhere along the line it went very bad.  She was found in the middle of the street, very disoriented because someone let her eye infections go without treatmeat. This caused the fluids to matt the fur across her eyes like a blindfold almost 1" thick.  Will never know how long she existed in this condition or went without food, but her body sure showed the results.  No one has ever responded to claim this girl, but her blindfold has been surgically removed and the sunlight is finally shining brightly on this little one. Unfortunately, her eyesight is a little compromised, but she is NOT blind. We were able to confirm she had been spayed, her teeth have been cleaned, and her weight is slowing coming back to acceptable levels. Her hearing is very selective.   Yet, with all that she has been through she retains a gentle and forgiving nature.  She spends most of the time curled up in her blankets or on her favorite chair.  Carla makes her way around the house with ease, including going outside to take care of her business.  Now she just needs a special person to let her know that life can not only be comfortable, but supportive and loving. She is worth it and deserves it. An ideal home will be one where she could be doted on and loved. She is good with other dogs, people and even kids (over 8 yrs).
