He's timid and nervous at times and will need someone willing to work through it with him.
-While walking inside, he would pause at the doorways and needed encouragement to get moving again
-He doesn't need encouragement when snacks are involved! He's very food motivated! He will sit and can take them gently. Sometimes he gets excited and wants to help himself, but with gentle correction he remembered his manners!
-He will occasionally give paw, but only when he feels like it 🤷‍♀️
-He enjoys pets, but did have a hard time completing settling in within this environment
-He showed some interest in toys
-He walks nicely on leash with minimal pulling
-He seems non reactive to dogs nearby, BUT...he does get nervous when loud dogs bark at him as he's passing by. He would most likely benefit from a calm, respectful doggie sibling after slow and proper introductions.

Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids

*Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt

*Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment.

*Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in.

*There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption.

*To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering.

**And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home.
