Carl's Story

I've been here before...yes three years ago I was adopted and I thoroughly enjoyed my person. Unfortunately she fell and broke her hip ad couldn't take care of me any more. I'm not terribly sad, but I do miss having a person of my own. I prefer a female person. Apparently men have not been nice to me in the past. If you know my breed you know I'm pretty strong headed. I get along with all my housemates, both girls an boys. I like to take walks, I walk pretty well on a leash. I love meal time, so be careful I don't get too large! I'm ready for that forever home....calling all dachshund lovers!

Act2Pups Pet Rescue's Adoption Policy
It is always best to make sure your pet(s) get along with the Act2Pups pet that you are interested in. This can be done at an adoption event, or an appointment can be arranged. We ask that all family members visit at the same time if possible. To start the adoption process a completed application is needed. (We currently do not have our application on line, but hope to soon). We will e-mail a copy of the application. Once the application is processed and approved a home visit is performed. This is done more to make sure any concerns pertinent to the dog you are interested in can be addressed. Most senior dogs don't require a large fenced yard. A trial adoption can begin with the home visit. Should the trial begin at the home visit, Act2Pups provides everything the dog requires. The trial usually lasts no more than a week. Any time during the trial the applicant can choose to adopt. All of our senior pups are in foster homes. Contact:   act2pups@yahoo.com for additional information on any of our pups.
