Carl's Story

Apply to adopt Carl at https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TRRA/Dog

Carl is a one and a half year old Norwegian Elkhound mix (he's 50% elkhound according to his previous owner) who’s still very much a young dog, figuring things out and looking for his person.

He can be a little cautious when meeting someone new, but it doesn’t last long—within minutes he’s taking treats, leaning in, and melting into you for snuggles. Give him a little patience (and a little kindness), and you’ll see the magic happen—because once Carl decides you’re his person, he absolutely melts. We’re talking lean-into-you, can’t-get-close-enough, best-snuggles-of-your-life kind of love.
Carl bonds quickly and loves deeply—he’s happiest right by your side and just wants to be close to his person.

In his previous home, Carl had a difficult experience with another dog that resulted in injuries. Because of that, he’s understandably a bit unsure around other dogs but he has many playmates and we think he could absolutely share his home with a female dog, or a little dog - those are far less scary.

Carl is looking for a calm, loving home where he can build confidence and be someone’s loyal companion. If you’re looking for a dog who will connect quickly and stick by your side, Carl might be your guy.

Apply to adopt Carl at https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TRRA/Dog
