Carl's Story

This older distinguished guy is Carl!

Carl is an approximately 8-year old male Boxer mix and weighs around 65 lbs. He was rescued after being abandoned on the streets of OKC.

Carl was very confused about how he ended up in boarding, but he has made great progress. He has started playing with the techs there and loves to run around in the clinic yard. He would love a home where he is included in activities and made a part of the family.

He is “rough” player and would do best as an only dog or with a submissive dog, so if there are other dogs in the home, he will need to meet them prior to adoption.

Carl would be an awesome companion for the right person. Very loyal. He would not be a good choice for a home with children under 12 or cats. He is simply a senior guy looking for his final home.

Carl does not like crates, but will crate. He is good on a leash and would love a home where he can walk with you. We don’t know if he is house-trained but he does keep a clean kennel in boarding.

He is neutered, current on vaccines, on heartworm preventative, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $225.

Since he is in boarding, he qualifies as a foster to adopt, or just a foster. See Kim or Michelle for more information about fostering.

To foster Carl, go to www.foreveryoursokc.org/foster-application.

To adopt Carl, go to www.foreveryoursokc.org/adoption-application.

Forever Yours Dog Rescue's Adoption Policy
Every dog that is rescued by Forever Yours is checked by a veterinarian, vaccinated, spay/neutered, dewormed, heartworm/ehrlichia tested and treated if needed, and microchipped. We also treat any other illnesses or issues that the dog may have on intake. We require an adoption application (FYDRadopt.com), but we do not require that you give us your first born or the deed to your house to adopt from us. Our adoption fee is $225.00. If available, you will get an opportunity to talk to your chosen pet's foster family when you meet your potential new family member. This will enable you to ask any questions and learn all about your pet. Forever Yours Dog Rescue does not have a facility, all of our wonderful rescues are in foster homes with families that take care of them and love them until their forever homes come along. We are currently not holding adoption events and doing all adoptions through an online application and then setting up individual meetings for potential adopters. Therefore to meet a dog, we ask that you fill out an application so we can see if a good fit first. The application is in no way an obligation for you to adopt.
