Meet Cari!<br/>Cari is a 26-pound Hound/Terrier mix with a heart as big as her sweet smile. This friendly girl was found as a stray and brought to a local shelter, so we don't know much about her past. What we do know is that she has an incredibly bright future ahead of her!<br/>Cari passed her shelter assessment with flying colors, showing everyone just how confident, friendly, and well-mannered she is. She absolutely adores people and is happiest when she's snuggled up in a lap, soaking up affection and handing out plenty of sweet kisses.<br/>One of Cari's favorite things in the world is making new canine friends. She lights up whenever she sees another dog and has such polite social skills when meeting them. Whether it's a playmate or a walking buddy, Cari is always excited to make a new friend.<br/>With her loving personality, affectionate nature, and easygoing charm, Cari is ready to find a family who will cherish her as much as she'll cherish them. Her adoption fee is $300.<br/><br/>Cari is in the Paws in Prison program, where she receives basic obedience training. She will graduate from Paws in Prison on 9/26/2026. The dogs in this program are provided basic level training under the AKC Canine Good Citizen standards and are specifically selected to be family and companion dogs. They spend 24 hours a day with their trainers. So, there will be an adjustment period as they adjust to their new family schedule.<br/><br/>For this reason, they will do best in homes where they are primarily inside dogs and spend lots of time with their families. The adoptive family will receive his training journal.
