CAREY's Story

Carey is a petite baby girl with a soft, loving nature and just the right amount of spunky personality. Carey loves sitting on laps—at least for a little while—before her puppy curiosity kicks in and she’s ready to hop down and see what’s next. She enjoys playing with her brother, her foster sister, and the other dogs in her home, and she gets along wonderfully with canine companions. Carey is currently working on her puppy manners, including learning not to jump on people and redirecting her natural urge to chew on hands and toes. She’s also learning leash skills and figuring out that walks are a shared experience, not a choose-your-own-adventure.

Carey is doing well with housetraining and can go about five hours in her kennel without accidents. She hasn’t been tested with kids or cats yet, but her sweet, adaptable nature suggests she’ll continue to do well with proper introductions. With her petite size, white coat and brown ears, and adorable mix of cuddly and independent energy, Carey is the kind of pup who will keep you smiling and on your toes in the best way.

✨ Three Things You Must Know About Carey:

She’s sweet but a little shy at first, then blossoms into a playful, slightly sassy pup.
She loves other dogs and enjoys active playtime with her furry friends.
She’s still learning puppy manners, including leash skills, jumping, and chewing.

Carey is a female Beagle/Mountain Cur/mix who was was born approximately 1-23-26. She is spayed, age-appropriate vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, given flea/tick/heartworm preventative. Adoption fee is $575 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
***If you are serious about adopting, you must first complete and submit an application on our website. Our Adoption Team will respond via email from DollysLegacyAdoptions@gmail.com once you have completed an application. If a pet is still listed, it is not yet adopted as we update daily. Dolly's Legacy Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
Thank you for your viewing our Petfinder page for Dolly's Legacy Animal Rescue with your interest in adopting one of our beautiful orphaned pets. We are a foster-home based rescue group and do not have a facility. All of our adoptable pets with their photos, descriptions, adoption fees & most information requested about them can be seen on our website which is updated daily at this link: http://dollyslegacyanimalrescue.org/ If they are still listed on our website, they have not yet been adopted. Since most of the pets we rescue have been orphaned or abandoned, we are not certain of their breed/mix and are not able to pinpoint how big they will be full-grown if they are still young. We do our best to determine the breed(s) they most closely resemble. The first step is to have you complete our online adoption application. Please visit our website at this link to see our adoption guidelines, on this page you will also find the link to complete & submit an adoption application: http://dollyslegacyanimalrescue.org/adopt/guidelines-application.html All adoption appointments are scheduled after your application has been approved. Preference is given to those with a verifiable veterinary reference, home ownership & fenced yard, although not required. Home ownership is verified through court records. If you are a renter, you must provide landlord contact information. We need all family members or those living within your home, including pets (dogs not cats), to be present for an appointment. We do not "hold" pets for a specific date. If you are going on vacation, or cannot take when the pet is available, please wait to apply until you are ready to adopt. We do out of state/area adoptions, but approved adopters are required to come to an adoption appointment, we do not ship pets. The final approval to adopt is after we have met applicants and feel they are the right match for that particular pet. Be sure to "like" our page on Facebook where you will find more photos and to learn more about our rescue.https://www.facebook.com/DollysLegacyAnimalRescue?ref=hl
