Cardigan's Story
Cardigan is a Corgi mix who came into rescue from a shelter in AL. We don't know how she came to be in the shelter, but from her sassy and sweet attitude, we believe she was someone's princess at some point in time. She walks well on leash and waits to potty outside at the shelter, which indicates that she is potty trained, although we expect a few accidents the first few days in a new home. She's estimated to be between 3-5 years old. She is good with other dogs but absolutely NO cats. She did not do well on her cat test so we will not place her in a home with cats or other small critters. She would likely do well with older kids. She is currently in AL but will be coming to Maine in mid-January. We tend to get impulse apps when we post dogs that are rarer breeds in rescue so, if you are interested in Cardigan, we ask that you only put in an application if you are sincerely interested in adopting so as to respect the time of our application team who are 100% volunteers.

If you think you might be interested in adopting Cardigan or just want to get pre-approved to adopt through us, please fill out an application on our website. Approvals are valid for one year and you will not have the waiting period of an application if you see a dog that you like! Approved adopters are placed on our email list for each transport and receive our Google slides that we send to all pre-approved adopters before posting on Petfinder and our social media and are eligible to attend our meet and greet events
