Caramello's Story
3/5 update:
Foster to Adopt Home Needed!

Do you have a little extra room on your lap this holiday season?

We'd like to reintroduce you to Caramello, (Brownies brother!!) a 1 year old/ 12# Chihauhua mix, that came to us before the holidays from an overcrowded local home. Caramello needs a little time to warm up to new people and situations but then will melt into your lap once he knows he is safe. He is a gentle boy that would sit with his person all day long if given the chance. Got a secret to tell? Have a coworker or family member that you need to vent about? Prices too high? Neighborhood gossip making your ears ring? Your secret is safe with him. Although he is a dog of few ( maybe no) words, he will always be there to listen and share in your ice cream rather then judge. Guilty pleasures don't mean a thing to him, and he will surely have your back hiding any evidence you don't want found (especially is it involves cheese).

Caramello came from a home with likesized dogs, but will need some time to warm up and settle in to be trusting and comfortable in a new environment. He does need work with housebreaking and being in boarding hasn't allowed him to shine but we know his personality is just begging to come out with a little patience and TLC. Won't you help us get him out of a kennel and in to a home?

Due to his small size and timidness, foster to adopt requirements are:

•Living within 80 miles of Adams, NY.
•Having previous/current pets in annually at a local veterinary office and up to date on vaccines as well as spay/neutered.
•Being able to bring him back to our vets office in Adams if additional care is needed prior to adoption. After adoption, we recommend taking him to your current vet to be established.
•Adult homes would be best due to his current size and shy temperament.
•Willing to have current family members come to a meet and greet to meet the pet and be sure they are an acceptable match.
•Having time available to care for, socialize and start the training of a new pet.
-Due to him being very scared, homes with a fenced yard will be prioritized

An adoption donation of $450 is being asked if you choose to adopt, but fostering is free. He had his initial vet check, is current on vaccines, and has been neutered.

Please help us to continue helping those that knock on our doors!

If you think you have room in your heart for a new addition, please fill out our jotform below! Don't forget to call your veterinarian's office to give consent for us to do our veterinary reference check since it is the first step in our adoption process!

To foster to adopt: https://form.jotform.com/Meowchatz/pet-adoption-application-form

12/20/25

Foster to Adopt Home Needed!
Do you have a little extra TLC to give this holiday season?

Everyone meet Caramello, a 1 year old/ 12# Pomeranian mix that came to us recently from an overcrowded home. He reportedly does well with likesized dogs but will need some time to warm up and settle in since he is very shy at this time. Being in boarding hasn't allowed us to get a good assesment on him as of yet but we believe if he can go to foster in a quiet, adult home his little persoanlity will shine. Won't you help us get him out of a kennel and in to a home?

Due to his small size and timidness, foster to adopt requirements are:

-Living within 80 miles of Adams, NY.
-Having previous/current pets in annually at a local veterinary office and up to date on vaccines as well as spay/neutered.
-Being able to bring him back to our vets office in Adams if additional care is needed prior to adoption. We get multiple inquires each day with only an hour of "free time" to volunteer and answer them around our full-time jobs and family life...don't let your inquiry get passed by because of an incomplete application. We try and reach out within 72 hours of receiving an application. Thanks in advance for your help!

Help our rescue by donating to our "Spay the momma fund". When adopting one of our babies, if each new family would contribute an extra $10 we can help out that babies mother by assisting with the cost of her spay. Help turn the momma into a pet rather than a breeding factory, donate today!

Adoptions for this pet are limited to an 80 mile radius of Pulaski, NY and pets must be viewed in person by all family members prior to adoption; animals will not be shipped to their new homes. Veterinary reference check and adoption donation also required. Check out our homepage for a full list of our adoption requirements
