Meet Caramel Crunch!<br/><br/>Caramel Crunch is a sweet 6–8-month-old, 25 pound terrier mix who loves to play, snuggle, and follow his people everywhere. He enjoys tug toys, snuffle mats, and puzzle games, and can entertain himself when needed. He’s great with kids and dogs and hasn’t been tested with cats.<br/><br/>This smart pup knows “sit,” is about 90% potty trained, and sleeps quietly all night on a dog bed. The crate is still stressful for him, but he’ll go in for treats and meals. He’s practicing his leash manners and will thrive with a family who can keep building his confidence.<br/><br/>Caramel needs a family that will be patient with his separation anxiety and crate training. He really does not like the crate and it is a big stressor for him. His perfect family would be one that has a dog or willing to help exercise his sporadic energy. He does fine also entertaining himself with toys or puzzles because he’s incredibly smart!<br/><br/>Come meet Caramel Crunch—your sweet new sidekick!<br/><br/>Our standard adoption fee is $375 if paid by cash or check, or $385 if paid by credit card (which includes a $10 processing fee). This fee covers spay/neuter surgery when age appropriate at one of our participating veterinarians, age-appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative, and microchipping. <br/><br/>In order to be considered for adoption, we require a fully completed application, a phone interview, and a meet-and-greet with your entire family. Please note that submitting an application does not commit you to adopting and does not guarantee approval—it simply allows us to begin the review process. <br/><br/>If you are interested in adopting or would like additional information, please email us at adopt@safehavendogsIL.org to request an application. <br/><br/>Keep in mind that the breed and size listed in each dog's biography are our best educated guesses and are not guaranteed. <br/><br/>Safe Haven Dog Rescue reserves the right to refuse the adoption of any dog or puppy to any applicant for any reason.
