He is currently on a prescription hydrolyzed protein diet and has been prescribed allergy medication. <br/><br/>The Karelian Bear Dog has a long history that originates from Finland. They were used as hunting dogs for large game, including moose, lynxes, wolves, and—as you might expect—bears. <br/>Karelians are energetic, athletic, and have a tenacious work ethic, so providing them with daily exercise and a job to do is extremely important; it does not necessarily have to be in the form of productive work but can include focused play.
