Captain~HERE FOR 5 MONTHS! :-(

Ok, hear us out. We know it is a big ask, but SOMEONE out there has to have a heart big enough to give this boy a chance! For MONTHS Captain has been sitting here at the shelter, waiting for a home. He is quiet and good in his kennel, good with his room mates, and has never shown any type of aggression but he does NOT get noticed and he is completely shutting down. Every day we bring him up to a room, work with him, give him treats, and try to encourage him but it is just not working. He needs to be OUT of the noise and chaos of the shelter environment for his personality to really come out! He went into foster care for about 2 weeks, and that family said he was a really wonderful, playful, loveable house guest who was wonderful with other dogs! He does need some help with house training, but he is smart and eager to learn! Captain was originally found as a stray, and we are guessing he has never really felt like he family who loved him or put time into training him. Now, at 3.5 years old, he is just starting over. Captain needs an adopter who will WORK with him and give him the structure, time, and exercise he needs to finally be the happy and outgoing dog he deserves to be! PLEASE give him a chance.
