Captain America's Story
Captain America is a 6 years, 2 months old male Large Mixed Breed who weighs 52 pounds.

Introducing Captain America! Our very own senior superhero with a heart of gold and just a touch of "Hey! Get off my lawn!" energy.

Captain came to us as a stray in very rough shape - emaciated, uncomfortable, and clearly having fought a few battles with his health. Thanks to lots of TLC and medical care, his skin regimen is getting on track and he's feeling so much better. Now? He's ready to retire from shelter life and move into his forever headquarters.

Captain loves his walks with volunteers and trots along proudly like he's leading a parade. He's very housetrained and will clearly let you know when he needs to go out (and when he's ready to come back in - efficiency is key!). Captain has shown curious/tolerant interest in other dogs, though he may prefer to choose his own allies carefully. Captain might like living with kids, as long as they don't tug on his ears.

At heart, Captain is a resilient old soul who simply wants a soft place to land. He needs someone who understands that getting older means appreciating the simple things: sunshine, strolls, and being loved exactly as you are.

If you are interested in adopting this super hero, please come to the shelter on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 12-4pm. If you would like to book an appointment on a different day or time please email dogs@worcesterarl.org.
