Captain's Story
How this pet arrived: Captain was brought in by a community member on March 21, 2026. Why this pet is the one for you:Captain is a sensitive soul looking for a patient navigator to help him find his sea legs. While he arrived as a stray and was quite timid at first, Captain has made incredible progress and is learning to trade his hesitations for "sits" and social wagging. He thrives on a slow pace, so his future family (required for children in home to be 14+) should be ready to let him approach at his own speed, keeping his world small and quiet initially to avoid overwhelming him. To ensure smooth sailing, all household members must be present for his interaction to ensure this sweet boy has the perfect crew for his forever voyage. Earning Captain's trust is the most rewarding treasure you'll ever find - once he knows he's safe with you, you'll have a devoted friend for life! At SDHS:Captain has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He is now ready for his new home! <br/>Shy/Fearful Dog: Captain requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about him. Primary Color: Brown Secondary Color: Black Weight: 68.2lbs Age: 3yrs 1mths 2wks Animal has been Neutered
