Capone - COMING SOON

Meet Capone. He is 9 months old. He is new to the rescue. Capone came from a breeder but didn't get the necessary attention he required at a very young age, so he is a very nervous dog. Everything is new to him and he gets frightened easily. He is doing well at our meet and greet events on Sundays, but everything with him will be in baby steps. It will take him time to learn how to be a dog and to trust his person. He will need a home where his owners will need to understand that a lot of patience will be required for him to blossom. <br/><br/>Having another dog in the home is security to him. This will help him learn to trust people and will help to build his confidence. It will also give him someone he can watch and learn from. For these reasons, another small breed dog will be required for him.<br/><br/>Capone isn't quite ready for adoption yet. We'd like him to be a bit more confident and social at our events before he will be available. <br/><br/>Because he is such a young dog, we are looking for an active family possibly with kids (over 8) that he can grow up and run around with. Due to his insecurities, and being a high flight risk, Capone will require a physical fenced yard (sorry, no invisible fences, tie outs or kennels).<br/><br/>If you are interested in meeting Capone, he will be at Pet Supplies Plus in Howell (2649 E. Grand River) on Sundays from 11-2 at our Meet and Greet event.<br/><br/>It is helpful for you to bring pictures and/or videos of your backyard fenced area.
