Canyon's Story

Canyon is a youngster in our program who joined us from SCRAPS shelter in Spokane, WA. What a cool, athletic, intelligent, affectionate dog, who will be really fun to continue raising now that he's also fully trained!

Canyon loves toys and play time with other dogs, but he's also a little insecure and inexperienced in the world, so he can be unsure about new people/things. Canyon was in a home with a lot of different animals, where he could become overstimulated and prone to herding people and pets, which is how he ended up returned to the shelter. Now that he's fully remote collar trained and rules/manners have been explained to him, he has impulse control and is super fun to have around.

Approx 1.5 years of age, under 40 lbs, crate trained, leash trained, learning off leash reliability through remote collar conditioning, loves toys and chews, easy to bathe, good in the car. Suggest slightly older kids so he doesn't overwhelm when excited, maybe age 5-6 years and up, but he's a good boy who would love a person or family of his own.

Great hiking or running pal, needs daily walks at least, but also knows when it's time to settle in the crate.

Canyon is fostered/training in Spokane, WA with lots of other dog friends - his adoption comes with two comprehensive training sessions, as well as lifetime behavior support. It doesn't get better than a Hope2K9 dog!

Reach out for more info at hope2k.com

#trainedadoptabledogs #washingtonstatedogadoption #adoptabledogeasternwa #adoptabledogspokanewa #traineddogsforadoption #remotecollartrainer #ecollartrainingspokanewa #ecollartrainingseattlewa
