Cannoli is an active girl who loves other dogs and plays hard with the other dachshunds in her foster home. She grew up as an only dog and is finally learning to play and chase around the yard to her heart's content. Cannoli was surrendered when she exhibited some nippy behavior with the men (husband and young teenaged son). She is a sweet girl, but it takes her a while to trust and we consider her somewhat slow to warm up to strangers. Once she knows you, she will stick like glue to her person.<br/>We don't recommend a home with small children; we feel that she has been through a lot in her short life that probably an adult only or young adult home is best. Other dogs are a plus and help her settle in and adjust. Once she knows and trusts you she only wants to please! She will require a little patience and understanding but she will make a wonderful lifelong companion. Consider giving her a chance, she is worth it!
