Found neglected and forgotten, she had every reason to give up on humans—but that’s just not who she is. Despite everything, this 38 lb, two-year-old girl still believes in love. She still wags her tail. She still greets every new person, dog, and even cat with gentle curiosity and warmth. She’s smaller than others of her breed, but what she lacks in size, she makes up for in heart. Canela is affectionate, eager to please, and happiest when she’s near her people. She’s the kind of dog who leans into you for extra pets, who looks up at you with soulful eyes as if she understands everything you’re saying, and who will trot alongside you, just grateful to be by your side. She’s also potty trained, crate trained, and food motivated, making her not just lovable, but easy to welcome into your home. Fully vetted—spayed, vaccinated, and on preventatives—Canela is ready to leave her past behind and step into the life she was always meant to have. Don’t let her be overlooked. She’s special.
